I'm from Missouri

This site is named for the famous statement of US Congressman Willard Duncan Vandiver from Missouri : "I`m from Missouri -- you'll have to show me." This site is dedicated to skepticism of official dogma in all subjects. Just-so stories are not accepted here. This is a site where controversial subjects such as evolution theory and the Holocaust may be freely debated.

My biggest motivation for creating my own blogs was to avoid the arbitrary censorship practiced by other blogs and various other Internet forums. Censorship will be avoided in my blogs -- there will be no deletion of comments, no closing of comment threads, no holding up of comments for moderation, and no commenter registration hassles. Comments containing nothing but insults and/or ad hominem attacks are discouraged. My non-response to a particular comment should not be interpreted as agreement, approval, or inability to answer.

Dover Ain't Over IV: Fundy Schools v. UC

This is a follow-up to -- you guessed it -- Dover Ain't Over III.

After a long dormancy, ACSI v. Stearns is now active again. An oral hearing on both sides' motions for summary judgment (interestingly, UC's motion is just for a "partial" summary judgment) is scheduled for Sept. 24.

I am now participating in a debate on the subject at the Questionable Authority blog.

Suggestion - you might want to actually read what UC has to say before making grand pronouncements on the case. I've already rubbed your face in your ignorance - and some of that ignorance was pointed out to you a year ago.

If you have any comments to make, please make them on the Questionable Authority blog where all can see them.

Countdown till Larry's asinine behavior gets himself banned from Scienceblogs in 3, 2, 1...

Bottom line is: You fundy types have your own little world of ignorance and fairy tales. Be glad you have a right to live in that world and are given significant leeway in terms of what you can and cannot do in the name of your religion while living there.

These rights and privileges end when you are in places with people who don't subscribe to your faith, and should your religious practices start impeding the rights of these people, penalties will be exacted.

You don't see me throwing biology textbooks around in church, so the least you can do is refrain from cutting and pasting biblical passages into my science textbooks.

Dunghill, my last big comment on Questionable Authority has stopped them in their tracks. No one has even attempted to answer it.

It was so pathetic that it didn't deserve an answer.
