I'm from Missouri

This site is named for the famous statement of US Congressman Willard Duncan Vandiver from Missouri : "I`m from Missouri -- you'll have to show me." This site is dedicated to skepticism of official dogma in all subjects. Just-so stories are not accepted here. This is a site where controversial subjects such as evolution theory and the Holocaust may be freely debated.

My biggest motivation for creating my own blogs was to avoid the arbitrary censorship practiced by other blogs and various other Internet forums. Censorship will be avoided in my blogs -- there will be no deletion of comments, no closing of comment threads, no holding up of comments for moderation, and no commenter registration hassles. Comments containing nothing but insults and/or ad hominem attacks are discouraged. My non-response to a particular comment should not be interpreted as agreement, approval, or inability to answer.

"Free David Irving" Petition

David Irving is a British historian who is serving a three-year prison sentence in Austria for holocaust denial, which is a crime in that country. I am very disturbed when I think that there are several countries where I could be jailed for some of the articles I have posted on this blog. I urge readers to sign an online "Free David Irving" petition. Also, the Austrian Consulate General offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York may be contacted at the followng email addresses (I suggest also urging repeal of the law under which Irving was convicted):

chicago-gk@bmaa.gv.at,
los-angeles-gk@bmaa.gv.at,
new-york-gk@bmaa.gv.at,
info@austria-ny.org

The right of free expression that you save could be your own.

Very few. You have not denied the holocaust. You have just make ridiculous complaints as to the accuracy of some of the numbers.

The exact numbers are of no consequence and I doubt if any government would find your trivial arguments threatening.
