Holocaust is 98% politics and 2% history

A news report from last month says,

Opposing interpretations of history clashed earlier this month in Auschwitz, where Polish curators of a museum at the former death camp refused to let Russia to open its exhibit.

Russia claimed that hundreds of thousands of "Soviet citizens" died in the Holocaust. The Poles vehemently rejected this, saying those victims, mostly Jews, were from territories occupied by the Soviet Union in league with the Nazis between 1939 and 1941.

Sergei Mironov, a senior Russian lawmaker, called the Polish decision "sacrilegious," and its reasoning "stupid."

The 1939-41 German-Russian joint occupation of Eastern Europe occurred before the holocaust and Russia had no policy of participating in the holocaust.

And, in related news, locations in the Northern Hemisphere experienced longer daylight hours today than yesterday.

Hey, Larry, why don't you supply a link to the rest of the article so people can see the interesting story behind this?

You could also give some background showing how Stalin's corrupt deal with Nazi Germany over Poland actually triggered WW II. No wonder the Russians are touchy about "their" citizens being affected by the Holocaust, when they were "Russian citizens" due to Russia's illegal joint occupation with Germany.

You could also mention that the Nazis blew across the border in 1941 rendering the prior agreement "null and void" ...

Sorry, you did provide a link (I hadn't noticed). IMO the TownHall article is a better one however.
