I'm from Missouri

This site is named for the famous statement of US Congressman Willard Duncan Vandiver from Missouri : "I`m from Missouri -- you'll have to show me." This site is dedicated to skepticism of official dogma in all subjects. Just-so stories are not accepted here. This is a site where controversial subjects such as evolution theory and the Holocaust may be freely debated.

My biggest motivation for creating my own blogs was to avoid the arbitrary censorship practiced by other blogs and various other Internet forums. Censorship will be avoided in my blogs -- there will be no deletion of comments, no closing of comment threads, no holding up of comments for moderation, and no commenter registration hassles. Comments containing nothing but insults and/or ad hominem attacks are discouraged. My non-response to a particular comment should not be interpreted as agreement, approval, or inability to answer.

"Ding" Elsberry is off on another witch-hunt

Wesley "Ding" Elsberry reported that his Wikipedia bio has been vandalized. Elsberry thinks that the culprit has also been using multiple identities in comments posted under his article on Panda's Thumb, including comments impersonating a California court official. The only harm done by these pranks is that Wikipedia was forced to restrict future editing of the bio. "Ding" Elsberry is now off on another witch-hunt to try to find the culprit and he thinks that the authorities are going to help with the search. I think he has another thing coming.

Ding claims to know the identity of "Anonymous" who commented on his blog but can't determine the identity of the person who vandalized his Wikipedia bio and used multiple identities on his blog. Maybe Ding is next going to accuse me of being the culprit.

Ding should consider himself lucky to have a Wikipedia bio at all. He is definitely not noteworthy.

Going after someone who has actually done something wrong is not a "witch hunt". As usual you use terms you don't understand.

We all do.

> Maybe Elsberry is next going to accuse me of being the culprit. <

You certainly are a logical suspect.

Seeing as the vandal is impersonating an officer of the court (a member of Child Protection Services), the authorities have a vested interest in tracking the guy down. And apparently it slipped Larry's attention, but they think they know who the vandal is (and no, they know it's not Larry - it would be obvious if it was Larry, because Larry is too stupid to understand why his posts are so obviously made by him to actually hide his tracks)

A fool,who swallows each tale
That the Wikipedia doth rail:
"I'm unable to check
Any facts, for by heck,
A tree hit my head in a gale!"

So far as the authorities are concerned, the guy might just as well be impersonating Elvis. If the alleged impersonation were impairing Child Protection Services, the authorities might be interested. And who knows -- the vandal might be the real officer of the court.

As for Verizon assisting in the witch-hunt, I certainly would not want to use an ISP that is willing to be a stoolie, and I would sue the crap out of my ISP if they informed on me without a search warrant.

I have seen no evidence that they know who the vandal is.

>>>>>> they know it's not Larry <<<<<<

Well, I certainly have a motive. LOL

>>>>>> Larry is too stupid to understand why his posts are so obviously made by him to actually hide his tracks <<<<<<

Ding Elsberry has no proof that I am Anonymous.

Jim,

I suggest that you also add your limerick to my post titled "Outhouse wall for outhouse poets." This post can be found by clicking on the label "Limericks & other poetry" in the left sidebar.

Wes said the following over at AtBC:

"I had a phone call from Chris Torvik, the real CPS worker, a little while ago. We have a candidate for the role of impostor, someone who has been harassing Torvik for several years now."

Other posts make it clear that the person being impersonated is indeed interested in pursuing the matter. And since he is an officer of the court, he has significant clout in getting the authorities to track down the individual.

Well, to hell with him. I have been impersonated plenty on this blog but I couldn't get the authorities to help me.

Don't be such an ass. Your posts couldn't be more obvious and you are the only one too stupid to know why.

> I have been impersonated plenty on this blog <

And you have impersonated others on this blog.
